“Somethin’ Else: Blue Note Records @70, celebrating the 70th Anniversary of Blue Note Records”, is the primary thread through the 2009 Portland Jazz Festival, which runs February 13th through the 22nd. Blue Note Records is an American label releasing Jazz artists since 1939. All ticketed concerts feature Blue Note headliners and artist, past and present. Included in the 150 performances, will be numerous local and regional musicians, some regional jazz artists, panel discussions, film screenings and other events over the 10 days.
